About Us

Ministry Background

The Saving-Word Stewards (SAWOS) Ministry was previously known as Children of the Light Ministry (COTL). The ministry started in July 2013 by Samuel Mlowa with key assistants in the development of the ministry being Tawina Mlowa, Vincent Ng’ombe and Anock Misi.

The minstry had been meeting at Tione and Tafika Private Schools in Chemusa Blantyre, then Malawi College of Accountancy and then Moved to Malawi College of Health Sciences in the city of Blantyre in Malawi. The ministry eventually moved to its own premises at Ngumbe GDC in west woodlands – Chagwanjira Homemakers compound at Daniel village along Lunzu Road, Blantyre Malawi.

The ministry opened it’s first branch in Lilongwe area 22A in 2022. The branch is thriving and growing. It is led by Pastor Godfrey Chirwa, assisted by Pastor Enock Misi.

The Vision Land

In 2021, under God’s instructions, the ministry moved from Ngumbe to it’s current place, the vision land is situated along Chileka road 300M from Kameza roundabout. The land was at first just a small piece of land but however under God’s inspirations and divine intervention, the church added 3 acres to make the church sit on a 4 acre land.

The vision land consist of the Faith garden, Faith Chapel and Children of the Light Classes. The church is planning to build the “Main Church” on the vision land.
