Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14 KJV
Hallelujah. Powerful scripture there. One which helps us to focus our attention towards achieving important things in this life. And unless someone is mad, they do not want to succeed in life. Apostle Paul teaches us one or two things in the scripture above, which we need to take notice of.
To achieve success in life, you need to leave behind the abuse you have suffered, unfair treatment you have endured, the insecurity and fear you have adopted. Kick them out of your life. You must move on.
Faith doesn’t work in the past. You can’t change the past. It is even difficult to change the present immediately. In the present, the immediate thing that we change is to make meaningful decisions that impact the future.
So, what is the key? The key is to leave the past behind to get to the future. Forgive those who have wronged you in the past. Forgive those who trampled on you in the past. Remove hatred from your spirit so that you can prosper both in soul, spirit, and body.
Dwelling in the past is a hindrance to your future. You must look to the past to draw lessons from it, but you must not dwell in the past. Leave the past behind you and concentrate on making the future better.
I pray that your future should become better. May you give focus to your future in prayer, in your meditation, and in your action. In the name of Jesus, amen.
Have a blessed day.
Amen
