Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival to me in the desert.”

Pharaoh was a powerful and fearsome ruler. People used to fear him. It took God to convince Moses by miracles and strong directive words for Moses to go.

But once Moses was convinced, he never backed at what he was sent to do. Immediately, he got into Egypt. After meeting the elders of Israel, Moses went ahead to meet Pharaoh and conveyed the message.

The message had three main things in it: 1. The sender – God of Israel 2. What should be done – Let my people go 3. Purpose – they are to hold a festival.

When God sends you, He will tell you to who, when, what, and why. When you are going, once you start off, keep moving. Don’t backtrack.

Obedience is very important. God wants all men to come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved. At the heart of God’s message is saving of souls so that they may have fellowship with God. This should, therefore, be our motivation for preaching of the word of God.

May God bless you all as you meditate upon this.
