“Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.”

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown merciful. To be merciful, you have to deliberately develop that character. It does not just come on its own. You have to decide to be a merciful person. Now, when you are merciful, you do not do merce things to people depending on the times and how you feel. You become merciful in all seasons. It becomes a nature in you.

To do good to all men in all seasons, you have to deliberately develop the good nature in you. When you have the good nature in you, you will do it whether you are free or under bondage. The starting point of you developing a good nature in you is to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. This will cause the Spirit of God to come upon you.

So, whether you are under compulsion or of your own free will, do a good thing. Whether you are being forced or willing, God sees your heart and motive of what you are doing. Do a good thing, for God is the rewarder. He will reward you for your good work.

May God reward you for your good work today. May you not struggle to understand the word of God in this moment. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

May God bless you abundantly.

Amen
