“Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”

When you become born again, you are encouraged to give yourself wholly to the new that you have received from the Lord. The new that keeps you in the presence of God. Why must you continue:

  1. To save thyself
  2. To save those who hear you as you talk about the word of God.

You see, in this scriptures, you are being taught to persevere in the faith in your believing in God. To grow in the faith and in the understanding of the word of God, patience and perseverance are key. These two will keep you going even when you don’t feel so good.

To accomplish a great goal that is of a worthy ideal, patience and perseverance are key. You don’t become born again one day, and then the other day you are not. You have to make the decision for a lifetime. It’s a continuance process.

Keep in these things and give thyself wholly to them so that you can save yourself and them who hear you.

May God give you wisdom and understanding. In all your getting, get understanding.

Have a blessed day. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
