DEMONSTRATIONS OF LOVE
- Pray that we demonstrate the love of God by doing His will, staying honest to His Word, and being faithful to one another and to God. 2 John 1:6 (NIV): “And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.”
- Pray against everything that breaks unity and love in the church—for example, hate, jealousy, broken marriages, unforgiving hearts, and gossip.
- Pray that as believers we nurture the things that enable us to stay in love and unity—for example, good communication and understanding. Ephesians 4:3 (NIV): “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”
- Pray for love and unity in the society we live in. Where there is love and unity, there is prosperity and help. Pray for God to prosper our society. As the society prospers, we too prosper. Pray that you too should prosper in your society.
- Declare the restoration of peace, unity, and love in our society and the nation at large.
- Pray that people in our society will value one another as people created in the image of God, despite being affiliated with different ethnic groups, political parties, and religions. Hebrews 10:24 (NIV): “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
